John and Marina

First time they met was because of a mission trip (no, not on one). Marina was a part of a large mission trip to Zambia organized by Father Paul. The priest in Zambia, Father Abraham, asked John to help the group prepare for the trip since he had visited Zambia a number of times before. Who would’ve thought packing some bags is where all this started. They started to connect over the next couple of months. What sealed the deal for this couple was the book recommendation John made to Marina during Holy Week. Over the following months, their relationship grew and they began to bring out the best in each other by God’s grace. When the time came, John proposed on the Spanish Steps in Washington, DC and later celebrated their engagement with family and friends. A few days later, the couple finally went on their first mission trip together to Zambia! 😊
